Animation and more
Text and photos on their own are limited, but sometimes they are just what is required. Computer generated animation can be better than video in certain circumstances as it offers a simplified, less cluttered but more easily controlled alternative.
For these reasons, we use a range of other media to compliment the interactive digital video used in our training "movies". Generally we will combine each of the different forms of media in whatever combinations work best to deliver the message. All of this is synchronised in order to deliver a coordinated message via each of the different media, allowing the user to learn via whichever element helps them most effectively.
Further to this we can link to the web in order to incorporate additional content or even live up to the minute content should this prove beneficial.
What we Do Do, and What We Don't Do!
We are keen to treat each project as unique. We will not simply "digitise" a paper version of a training course as is the normal approach to producing so called interactive training. (This is seen extensively in the many training CD's that are available for subjects such as learning to drive and "pass your driving test" - they tend to be little more than a text book transferred to CD. Similar "training" is available for most other subjects).
Next Generation, Now
Our use of Interactive Video really sets our Interactive Video Training apart from others. The techniques and the software we have developed allow the user to influence the outcome of the "movie" that is playing.
In this way, pupils can work their way through a course at their own pace and get to the lessons they need in much the same way that the web works, (whereby a visitor to a site is not required to start at the beginning and work through to the end in a predefined order)
Also, and even more incredibly, it means that the pupil can be tested. As a test is progressing, the user can be asked to respond to something they see playing in the video. Their response will then affect what happens next in the video. From this, the pupil can be scored and also see the consequences of their actions play out in front of them.
